The newly updated Zak + Fox showroom on Park Avenue South looks like a regal glimpse into a former century. On view are owner Zak Profera’s luxe textiles and an ensemble of 18th-century style furnishings and lights from esteemed London firm Jamb, purveyors of antiques and top drawer reproductions, the company's American debut in a year-long residence.
The showroom and office occupy the top floor of the 1909 four-story Provident Loan Society building, which still has its original birdcage elevator.
Jamb’s Hanbury Sofa is upholstered in Zak + Fox’s Cintamani wool velvet.
A midcentury Italian settee by Cesare Lacca is newly dressed in Zak + Fox’s linen-cotton Flaneur stripe.
The Mulberry has an “engineered shackle top reflecting the aesthetic of the industrial age.”
A glimpse of work in progress—that’s Zak’s Shiba Inu, Fox, napping on the chair.
