Unconventional Cool: An Aussie Flat in Shades of Avocado and Salmon by YSG

And the Freshest Look Award goes to: this project, in Bondi, Sydney, by YSG Studio for founder and principal Yasmine Ghoniem.
The full flat is only 55 square meters—about 592 square feet.
The place is set up for success with shelf storage all over.
The kitchen leans into the olive green and peach palette: The joinery was custom designed by YSG; the base cabinets are painted in Deep Reed by Dulux.
The upper part of the kitchen is tone on tone on tone; it’s painted in Camel Hide by Dulux.
Yasmine and co. sourced an array of vintage textiles from Chee Soon & Fitzgerald, but the curtains are, surprisingly, not retro: They’re tablecloths from Zara Home, retrofitted into window treatments.
Just around the corner is the main bedroom, with white-painted floor boards, a runner from Kulchi, and a vintage mirror found at Lunatiques in Sydney.
The headboard was custom made by Materialised from vintage fabrics sourced at Chee Soon & Fitzgerald. The bedside table is the Componibili Storage Unit by Kartell, and the jaunty light is the Ovington from Revised.
The key for any small space: storage and mirrors.
The blue-hued bathroom, meanwhile, stands apart from the rest of the palette.
