Newly opened in Old Pasadena: Agnes, an all-day restaurant, fromagerie, and marketplace from husband/wife team Vanessa and Thomas Tilaka Kalb, with interiors by LA architect Oonagh Ryan of ORA Studio and fittings from British furniture makers Another Country.

The 4,600-square-foot restaurant occupies a former police horse stable built in 1922 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

The main dining room overlooks the open kitchen’s wood-fired hearth.

Casual seating in the market space, with Stool Four seating.

The prep area features a wrap-around stainless steel counter.

The prep kitchen space also functions as a private dining room with communal seating.

The halls are lined with classic wainscoting.

The bathrooms have an olive green/pale pink palette and old-fashioned sink skirts.
