Passerine: A New Source for Vintage Rugs in Washington, DC

On our radar: Passerine, founded by Georgia Hoyler, who was inspired to start her company when she outfitted her own row house in DC. Over the last few years, Hoyler has developed relationships with a handful of overseas rug merchants who provide her with high-quality floor coverings, most in the faded palette she prefers.

Passerine also offers a small collection of framed rug and textile fragments; the Fragment VII Vintage Soumak is $950.
