On Trend:  Josef Albers-Inspired Color Blocks All Over

There's something mesmerizing and grounding about Josef Albers’s Homage to the Square painting series—and we’ve been turning to his interlocking squares for balance in these unruly times. Here’s a look at some of the Albers-style geometry that’s been cropping up in housewares all over.

In collaboration with the Albers Foundation, Christopher Farr Editions of London and LA recently debuted this licensed handwoven wool rug: Yellow Eden, one of six 4-by-4-feet rug designs modeled after Homage to the Square paintings.

Quiet Town’s quilted canvas Marfa Shower Curtains, $198, come in five colorways and can be used as wallhanging, curtains, and room dividers (see our featured image), too.

Artware offers made-to-order Homage to the Square wool tapestries in limited editions of ten, licensed by the Albers Foundation and directly modeled after Albers paintings.
