One of our favorites design details in our first book are the puddle-like mirrors in French designer Corinne Gilbert’s Brooklyn atelier. We had never encountered anything like them—until recently, when we looked up and started to see asymmetrical mirrors everywhere. Here are a few shining examples, Corinne and Dan’s originals included.
The AES Irregular Mirror comes in four sizes, starting $299.89 for 70-by-90 centimeters (27.5-by-35.4 inches) from Etnahaus via Etsy.
Corinne Gilbert’s aforementioned Brooklyn home studio from French Bohemian in Fort Greene in Remodelista: The Considered Home. The mirrors were a signature design from her former business, MC & Co.
