Now Coveting: Heritage Curtains and Soft Goods by East London Cloth
Photography via East London Cloth
Lately we’ve been admiring East London Cloth, makers of both “off the peg” and bespoke linens. The outfit was founded by Gemma Moulton, who apprenticed for some of the city’s most esteemed curtain makers before beginning East London Cloth in the midst of lockdowns in 2020. The linens are handmade by a small team of makers and designed to be passed down.
The Cafe Curtain – Montague Fine is just one of many of the curtains and cafe curtains on offer; from £48.
Irish woven Brooksby Stripe Linen cloth can be made into a charming sink skirt like the one shown here. It’s “reminiscent of trips to the seaside;” £78 for a length.
The round Breakfast Cloth has a pleated hem; from £200.
Smocked Linen Fancy Napkins is sewn from Irish linen; a set of four is £80; a set of six £120.
For the bedroom, the Smocked Linen Pillowcase starts at £85.
