Snoop around in the kitchens, closets, or entryways of just about any of us on the Remodelista team, and what will you find?
Hay launched in Denmark in 2002 with the belief that good design is for everyone; we quickly fell for their clean-lined, statement-making, and accessibly priced wares, and we’ve been posting on finds of theirs we love—from trays to bed linens—ever since.
And we love the brand’s colorful spirit, too; every Hay piece, from the large-scale (a sofa) to the teeny tiny (a scrub brush) adds color and a little joy to the everyday.
First up: the Mags Sofa (this one is the Mags Soft Low Sectional with Chaise, $2,495), designed by Hay with rounded edges and generous cushions “as a low, deep, welcoming place to stretch out and lounge.”
Another Soft Low Sectional, this one in a blue-grey shade fittingly called Blueberry. The rug is Hay’s Peas Rug ($695), shown in soft grey and woven in India of wool felt.
Each BonBon Shade ($545) is hand-wrapped in colored yarn and is one of a kind, designed by Ana Kraš (a longtime Remodelista favorite) for Hay.
Hay’s Uchiwa Lounge Chair and Ottoman (from $2,090) is inspired by the design of Japanese hand fans.
The Tray Coffee Table ($245) can actually be used as a bedside table or—with the top detached—as a tray.
A favorite from the Can Collection: The flat-pack, easy-going Can Sofa (from $2,095), designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec with relaxation in mind, has an exposed, minimal steel frame and sumptuous cushions.
We like the rich berry hue of the Eiffel Square Coffee Table ($495), made of cast aluminum frame and powder-coated MDF.
Last but not least, the lush and clean-lined Hackney Three-Seater Sofa ($2,995) is surprisingly portable, with an upholstered, foldable frame that can be dismantled into three sections for easy rearranging—good for those on the move.
