The theme of the week? Texture Lessons. So we’re returning to a 1760s sea captain’s cottage in Maine by Moore House Design, which, despite its fairly neutral palette, is replete with rich and varied texture. Today, we dive deeper into the rustic kitchen.

Coaster’s Chance is a 1760s captain’s cottage on the coast of Maine, north of Acadia, redone by Moore House Design.

In the cook space, the Moore House team left the original rough-hewn supports in place.

The kitchen walls are done in plaster.

A Smeg fridge is tucked away in a nook.
