Kitchen of the Week: Everything Is Illuminated in a Light-Flooded Kitchen in Copenhagen - Remodelista

Scandinavians are clever at maximizing light, due to the minimal sunshine (in the winter, residents are lucky to get five hours of daylight).
“The light in our apartment is quite magnificent, so we set out to create a kitchen that would interact with the daylight, and reflect the colors from the outside: the sky and the leafy trees,” the owners say.

For us, this meant dividing the galley kitchen into two zones: the left side is the designated cooking area, and the right side serves as the storage module,” they say.
The stool is from Copenhagen designer Carsten in der Elst‘s “Flooring Collection” and is made from Douglas Fir and pine flooring offcuts.
