Kitchen of the Week: An Architect’s Own Custom Kitchen in London - Remodelista
When Luke and Estelle Chandresinghe of London-based Undercover Architects renovated their 19th-century townhouse, the kitchen is what gave them the most trouble.

The bookcase-like coffee and tea station is painted a proprietary color.
Stored on the shelves are wood-topped storage jars (try Chabatree Limpid Jarsr) and small appliances: a DeLonghi Nespresso Lattissima Touch Espresso Maker, KitchenAid Pro Line Electric Water Boiler, and Dualit New Generation Classic 4-Slice Toaster.
A KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer is set up on the kitchen island.
On the stovetop is a Bialetti Moka Express 9-Cup Espresso Maker. A Caribbean blue Le Creuset Salt Mill and Pepper Mill, Waring Pro Health Juice Extractor, and Waring Pro Commercial Bar Blender.
The sculptural blackened steel hood and upper cabinets “are a nod to Donald Judd,” Luke says.
The architects created a welded steel stand for the custom white blanco marble sink and paired it with a matte black Vola Kitchen Single-Handle Faucet.
On the Mercury 1200 Range Cooker is a Le Creuset Signature Enameled Cast-Iron Pan. In the hallway, a Stendig Calendar by Massimo Vignelli hangs on the wall.
