Kitchen of the Week: A Minimalist Galley Kitchen in a Georgian London Townhouse - Remodelista

The owners of this handsome Georgian townhouse in North London are a professional couple with two children who wanted a modern, hardworking kitchen but didn’t want to compromise the integrity of their home’s 200-year-old cornicing, skirting, and moulding.
The cabinet on the left is cantilevered, while the cabinet on the right stands on a plinth for structural support. Both are fully encased in Corian, the signature of the company’s Shell collection.
The cabinet at left houses an oven, a combination microwave-oven, and an induction burner.
The cabinet fronts are vertical grain American white oak veneer. The Corian countertops in Glacier White extend into backsplashes on both sides of the kitchen.
Above the countertops hang Vox Pendants by Niclas Hoflin for Rubn.
At the other end of the kitchen is a small dining room with a marble Saarinen Dining Table and a vintage, green enamel pendant light overhead.
Next to the dining table is a Cantilevered Sideboard from Jack Trench, made of matching white oak with Corian sliding doors.
The sideboard is an extension of the kitchen and stores breakfast cereals plus everyday plates and glasses.
