In Collaboration:  Wall Art by Independent Makers via Wescover

We’re always proponents of sourcing from local shops and makers, but now more than ever is a good time to support artists and artisans in lieu of big box stores. Take a look at a few artful finds—mirrors, woven wall hangings, custom murals, and paintings—to upgrade any space, spotted via online marketplace Wescover.

Colorful Wave Mirrors ($470.78 each) are a collaboration between Werajane Design and a local Leipzig woodworker.

We like “Prepare for the Best” ($1,200), a one-of-a-kind mixed-media triptych by Norway-born, San Diego-based artist El Lovaas.

Reminiscent of a rustic hanging broom, the textural Large Arcus ($340) is made from jute rope and black cotton rope by macrame and fiber artist Yashi Designs.

The Handwoven Tapestry (from $250) is woven from Navajo Churro wool, Peruvian mountain sheep wool, handspun banana fiber, and recycled paper raffia by Austin, TX-based Zanny Adornments.

A delicate Ceramic Bells wall hanging ($310) by architectural designer and ceramic artist Kristina Kotlier is exclusively sold via Wescover, made from stoneware and ceramic bells strung on cotton rope.

Multimedia artist Ruth Le Roux’s work is inspired by nature and her childhood in South Africa; this is her Sea 1 print (from $140).

The “Jessica” wall hanging by Jessica Alejandra of Vita Boheme Studio adds texture to any space.
