High/Low: The Industrial-Style Articulated Wall Light, French vs. Urban Outfitters Edition - Remodelista
Browsing through Urban Outfitters’ new lighting offerings recently, we were reminded of some of our all-time favorite fixtures: industrial-style lights made of vintage parts near Lyon, France.
We opened the tabs in our browser side by side and, sure enough, there’s a striking similarity (except for a sizable price difference).
High
Made in Villeurbanne, France, the Adjustable Two-Arm Wall Lamp by lighting atelier Wo & Wé is made of black steel, and is comprised of a black rod affixed to the wall with articulating arms attached.

Low
The Simon Adjustable Sconce, also made of black steel and “inspired by modern industrial design,” shares a similar structure: an articulated arm mounted on a fixed vertical rod.
The Original
Both versions bear a striking resemblance to the original, iconic Lampe Gras.
