High/Low: Space Copenhagen Fly Sofa Set vs. Anthropologie Kalmar Sofa Set - Remodelista
The Fly Collection designed by Space Copenhagen for &Tradition has been on our radar for a while now, so when we came across the Kalmar armchair, ottoman, and sofa at Anthropologie, we couldn’t help but notice the strikingly similar design (and dissimilar price tags).
Anthropologie’s furniture was sourced from designers District Eight in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and made with canvas cushions.
High
The Fly Chair SC1 by Space Copenhagen has a base and slatted back made of oak (treated with white-pigmented oil, shown, or smoked oil) and loose cushions; £1,987 ($2,813) at Haus.
The Fly Pouf SC9 is £1,137 ($1,609) at Haus.
The Fly Sofa SC3 has an extended oak base for a built-in table.
The Kalmar Armchair is made with smoked oak, steel, and waxed cotton canvas; $1,598 at Anthropologie.
Low
The Kalmar Ottoman, like the other pieces, is anchored by blackened steel legs with brass details; $998 at Anthropologie.
The Kalmar Sofa is made of smoked oak, ash, and steel and has waxed cotton canvas cushions; $2,498 at Anthropologie.
