When Julie and her husband, Josh, moved to Brooklyn Heights, they were lucky enough to find an unupdated parlor floor flat. The kitchen in particular needed work, so they called on architect Malachi Connolly to oversee the renovation.  Here’s a look (plus sources, revealed):

Brooklyn-based Pickett Furniture supplied the minimally detailed cabinets; the countertops are Carrara marble.

"I dithered on the kitchen pendant decision, so as a placeholder, we went with hardware store porcelain fixtures and Nostalgic Collection lightbulbs from Bulbrite," says Julie.

A dowel installed in the cabinet above the sink holds paper towels.

"We tucked a stacked Bosch washer/dryer behind a full-height door; instant laundry room," says Julie.

Julie and Josh chose a Bertazzoni PRO304GASX Range for its good looks and relatively slim profile.
