This just in: 8 Holland Street Townhouse, the latest “interiors playground” to be dreamt up and kitted out by Tobias Vernon, founder of the London gallery and design store of the same name.
The three-bedroom guesthouse is situated just moments from the city’s Royal Crescent in a four-story Georgian townhouse on Brock Street, and it’s a masterclass in the creation of vintage vignettes.

The colorful entrance to 8 Holland Street Townhouse, featuring a Vivai del Sud wavy-legged console table from the 1970s, Richard Smith mixed media artworks, a Verner Panton ‘Flowerpot’ table lamp and matching ceiling pendant, and a Christopher Farr rug.
On the first floor is a characteristically bold Plain English kitchen featuring wall-mounted Vitsoe shelving. The island is painted Nicotine from the Plain English x Rita Konig paint range.

The first floor landing cloakroom features artwork by Peter Blake and a ‘Space Age’ vintage bathroom set in Ocean Blue Bakelite by Carrara & Matta.
The principal suite on the second floor features a Guillerme et Chambron bed and Bouvine cabinet and an Otto Faerge Curved Settee. The muted 1940s Swedish flat-weave rug is by Marta Maas Fjetterstrom.

A Victor Pasmore artwork hangs above the bed, which is dressed in Kvadrat bedding. The punchy red wall light is the AJ by Arne Jacobsen; the wall hanging is by the contemporary weaver Caterina Riccabona.

The principle en-suite features a pair of 1950s Italian cut-glass scalloped wall lights, a Cristal Arte mirror, a vintage red bathroom set by Olaf Von Bohr for Gedy, and a matching Ingvar Kamprad Pin Lacquered milking stool.
A top floor snug is papered in ‘Eldblomman’ in red by Josef Frank for Svenskt Tenn and features a Noguchi lamp, a 1960s Italian Orix desk designed by Parigi & Prina for Molteni, and a La Fonda chair by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller.
