Eco-Friendly and Colorful: The Bull Inn in England

The Bull Inn is an eco-oriented, award-winning hotel and restaurant in Totnes—an ancient market town in South Devon. The new owner is the ethical entrepreneur Geetie Singh-Watson, who opened her first organic pub in north London over 20 years ago. "I want to show people that you don’t need to diminish your life in order to have a much lighter footprint on the planet,” she says.

Singh-Watson worked with local architect Jackie Gillispie to restore the Grade II-listed, centuries-old building.

In Room 7, the number 341 was uncovered on the wall and that dictated the color of the paint.

The wood panelling in Room 3 is painted in Dorset Cream by Farrow and Ball.

A collection of vintage lace window dressings are suspended on reclaimed brass stair rods.
