Domestic Science: Colorful Hand Brushes Inspired by the Shakers - Remodelista
One of our favorite exhibitions in recent years is Furnishing Utopia, a show of 14 design studios that each reinterpreted traditional Shaker furniture and objects.
Mowat’s “Brush Study” includes three different shapes of hand brushes.
Furnishing Utopia collaborated with Mount Lebanon Shaker Museum in upstate New York and the Hancock Shaker Village in the Massachusetts Berkshires. Shown here are the brushes at the Hancock Shaker Village.
