Bread Bar is an unlikely cocktail bar in an unlikely place: an 1800s-era bakery at the base of the Rocky Mountains, in the old mining town of Silver Plume, Colorado.

Inside, tall windows look out at the town and let in light, even in winter.

The added furnishings are eclectic: a faded couch with an original scale suspended from the ceiling.

This is a community bar: A resident dog keeps warm on the settee.
In the back room, the team built a new bar, and Alviani wallpapered the space in a design by UK-based designer Abigail Borg.

Not bread, but refined cocktails, are served, all “inspired by famous figures of Silver Plume and the region.” Also on offer: live music.
