Simpler Days – A kitchen overhaul in Portland.
Easily the most challenging remodel of our 1905 home to date. We had a lot to achieve for quite a modest budget – stripping back to the stud walls, removing sections of ceiling, the abatement of many layers of linoleum flooring, brickwork that had to go along with a ridiculously heavy cast iron pot belly stove. We spent many months on the planning, design and assembling an understanding group of professionals to help make it happen. Our aim was to create an inviting, open, functional space that melded old with new.
