Old Echo Park: A bathroom reconstructed
The bathroom for this 1910 shotgun bungalow in LA’s first Historic neighborhood was gutted and moved to the back of the house for more light. We brought in period elements, such as stripping the Douglas fir door and subfloor, and otherwise used materials discarded from other homes in the neighborhood. The house is small so we designed the bathroom to feel open and roomy. The space is decorated with objects we collected and that all have their own personal story.
