Federalist Bath Renovation
This is my 1908 Federalist home. A renovation in the bathroom hadn’t been done since 1956. It is the last room we have renovated. The main fixture was found in the attic. We now have a soaking tub with a rain shower. Chrome Moen faucets, and spray. When we did the demolition, we found a domed top tub area. The sink was a child’s desk I found in Williamsburg, Va. We painted it black and topped it with Slate. The Medicine cabinet was custom built by our friend and has the receptacle for the hair dryer and curling iron. The window is a stained glass cupboard front from another renovation. The floor is heated Carrara marble. The inspiration was the original fixture and the Apothecary Jars found at an Antique store.
