Woodwardia fimbriata commonly called the giant chain fern is found in the north west of the US. This giant fern can grow to over 6 feet tall with larger green feathery fern leaves. Plants grow in full to part shade and prefern constant moist soil. Considered easy to grow fast and capable of handling some drought once established. These giant ferns are commonly found growing with the giant red woods. Cold hardy zone 7b plants sold in 4 to 4 1/2 inch pots.
