Description from Munro & Kerr
Product Information
With a shared appreciation of a lampshade’s ability to transform a whole room, Eleanor of A Considered Space and Alex of Munro and Kerr have collaborated to produce a small number of handmade wavy lampshades.
After much time spent refining the curvaceous shape to get it just right, each shade is made by Alex in her London studio, with hours of work going into hand-stitching the distinctive waves to the frame. For that reason, the lampshades will be released in limited quantities throughout the year.
Colours:
The raffia look woven paper used to make this wavy lampshade was created in Japan using state of the art technologies. The fine cotton trim on the top and bottom edge of the lampshade is stone in colour.
Dimensions:
The base of the lampshade is 45cm at its widest point, and 10cm wide at the top of the lampshade. The actual height of the lampshade is 23.5cm. The slope height is 27cm. The bulb holder ring is 8.5cm up from the base of the lampshade.
Lampshade Fitting:
The lampshade is suitable to fit European lamp holders, and a converter/reducer adaptor ring is supplied fitted to reduce the aperture so it can fit UK lamp holders.
The lampshade can be used a ceiling or as a table lamp.
Linings:
The white PVC lining used to make this lampshade will allow an amount of light through the shade, creating a warm glow when lit and highlighting the colour texture of the paper. The colour of the lampshade frame is matched to the lining.
Care Instructions:
Do not wipe with a damp cloth. Do not place in direct sunlight in case of fading. Please use an LED light bulb where possible, else a max 40W incandescent bulb
