this handcrafted knife holds an extremely sharp edge and hones easily. the blade is forged of O1 high carbon steel in a multi-generational family business in theirs, france. situated above the durolle river, the village of thiers has a long tradition of making cutlery dating back to the 14th century. over time, these knives develop a blue-grey pewter like patina. they are designed by ron hock, renown maker of blades used in krenovian style handplanes.
million and clark shape the handles from locally sourced domestic hardwoods in their shop on california’s north coast. each handle is carefully selected and shaped with hand tools to reveal elegant chamfers that will set this knife apart from the rest in your kitchen. sold in a 100% wool felted sheath in your choice of ash grey, indigo blue or persimmon colors.

SHARP! handle with care.
rinse your knife, wipe it dry after each use, and never put it in a dishwasher. over time, your knife will acquire a pewter-like grey blue patina. if it should happen to rust, use a bit of steel wool or mild detergent like bon ami to scrub it clean.
the blade is best sharpened gently with a honing rod.
