Description from Svenskt Tenn
The “Paradiset” pattern contains a constellation of flowers, fruits, butterflies, birds and fishes. A blooming paradise tree is full of fruit. It’s easy to imagine that a pattern like the Paradise is strictly a figment of Josef Frank’s design imagination, but it is almost always possible to track a source of some kind – either from nature or from art history.
The wallpapers are since 2012 printed according to the old tradition of distemper printing. Printing in distemper brings the wallpaper patterns to life in a technique that comes as close to Josef Frank’s original patterns and colours as possible.*
