The US Navy Blanket is constructed in the self same fashion as the military blankets that the Faribault Mill has been employing for almost 100 years. Minnesota based Faribault began making blankets for the military as early as 1897. Their Foot Soldier series (of which the Navy blanket is a part of) is made to the same military specifications used since 1917. Originally designed to accommodate the widely varying temperatures of Cadet sleeping quarters, the double cloth construction of this blanket results in a warm, heavy, yet breathable product. Permanently moth-proofed, 100% wool.
