Tripod Field Stool, English Ash, Brass & Leather, Lissom & Muster
A three legged stool of English Ash wood, brass and vegetable-tanned leather. Useful for fieldsports, fishing, picnicking, eventing and sitting around the campfire.
When collapsed, the stool can be carried comfortably over the shoulder using the strong leather strap.
For the leather seat and strap we worked with Joseph Clayton of Chesterfield, Derbyshire – leather tanners since 1840. Their leathers originate from Northern Irish cow hide and are pit-tanned using natural vegetable tannins. This is an ancient process, essentially unchanged for thousands of years.
British materials, British Craftsmanship. Nothing but timber, leather, brass and strong thread.
Part of a collaborative collection made by Lissom & Muster and British bag and leathergoods maker, CHERCHBI.
