The Things for Bread Butter Case is crafted from glazed porcelain with a maple lid. It’s name, however, belies its true versatility: The Case can be used to store snacks in the fridge or clutter on the counter. Or, pair the tub-shaped case (which holds a one-pound block of butter) with the maple Cutting Board to satisfy its initial intent as a tool to enhance the enjoyment of bread. Each pieces comes wrapped in simple craft paper, stamped with the label “Things for Bread.” Designed by Landscape Products, a collective of designers that has become a leading force in Tokyo’s design scene.
