Description from Local & Liejos
For each Tazon Bowl sold, the artisan is able to provide her family with food for a week.
Dating back centuries, the art of pottery is engrained into Oaxacan culture. The clay used for the pieces is dug from the depths of the ground, and mixed with water until the perfect malleable consistency is achieved. Every piece is handcrafted, without a pottery wheel, using the force of the artisans body to spin the clay atop a flat surface. Our Tazon Bowl can be used to store fruit or any of your culinary creations!*
