A good thermometer is absolutely essential in the kitchen. If you’re cooking meat, you can’t always rely on sight or touch to know when it’s ready — you’ve got to take the internal temperature. An oven thermometer is just as necessary because ovens are often calibrated differently or slightly off, so the temperature displayed is often not 100% accurate. Using a thermometer will let you know exactly how hot your oven is, and what to set the display for.
These Taylor thermometers have been tested and approved by our test kitchen cooks (and they are very discerning!). The meat thermometer has a unique dual pointer that monitors temperature along with the corresponding “doneness” level. It measures temperature ranges from 120°F to 220°F.
The oven thermometer has a 3-position alignment so it can clip, hang or stand. It’s got reference zones for warm, bake and roast, and is calibrated for accuracy with a range of 150-600 degrees.
