Description from Design Within Reach
A retired hairstylist, Kenton Sorenson began making leather bags 20 years ago as a hobby. He credits his Scandinavian roots for giving him an appreciation for minimalistic shapes, naturally dyed leather and handmade construction. His Tablet Portfolio (2010) is made of six-ounce leather that is tanned the old-fashioned way, using only plant materials in the six-month tanning process. With use and time, this leather will soften and become darker in color. The corners are neatly finished with a rounded profile, and the edges are hand stitched with durable nylon thread. In place of a buckle or snap, Sorenson added a long leather strap that wraps around the Portfolio and then pulls through a loop to securely close the flap. Fits iPad, iPad2, and similarly sized readers. Tablet not included. Made in U.S.A.
