Description from Sometimes Jane
This is a portion of “Stones,” a pattern that I developed from a series of ink line drawings that my mother did in the 1960’s. I’ve been wanting to share it with the world since discovering it in her sketchbook. My mother lived in Iceland when she made the drawings, and I imagine her having been inspired by stones along the shoreline.
Scratch is printed with a white ink on dark blue 100% linen, and there are slight variations to the pattern placement on each towel due to the nature of the making process. The selvage is exposed on one edge. I have used a pre-softened mid-weight linen which has a nice drape to it and which will soften a bit more with each wash. The corners are mitered so that they are sturdy and will not fray, and there is a cotton label tape sewn into one corner on the backside for hanging.
- CARE : The ink has been heat cured. Wash in cold. Do not bleach. Tumble dry on low or hang to dry. Iron medium on backside.
- DIMENSIONS : Approximately 18″ x 27″ (48cm x 68cm).
