Stella Lines Embroidered Blanket TRIANGLE

Virgin wool blankets loomed by artisans, then hand drawn in our studio and then hand-embroidered by women in Malinalco Mexico. We were inspired by the work of American painter Frank Stella and ancient Aztec and Mayan ‘grecas’ in this collection of limited edition Blankets. We will be expanding upon this line with more blanket designs and ponchos will also be available.

This exciting project directly works with more than15 women in Malinalco who embroider the blankets in their spare time from the comfort of their own homes and gives these ladies a chance to earn extra income.

These blankets are entirely hand done, even the lines are hand drawn on the blanket, so any imperfections you may find, for example a not so exactly straight line is intended and part of the concept of these incredible throws.
