The Sowden coffee maker by the British architect and designer George Sowden for Hay is characterised by its graphic design, as well as its innovative coffee-making technology. The SoftBrew porcelain is equipped with a stainless steel micro-etched filter through which the coffee releases its flavours without any unpleasant particles.
Freshly Prepared Coffee
The coffee is prepared like so: The desired amount of coffee is placed in the filter and half of the very hot – but not boiling – water (approx. 96 ° C is ideal) is poured over it. The mixture is then stirred and should be left to swell for a while before pouring the rest of the water. After approx. 3 minutes of brewing the finished coffee can be served.
Thanks to the timeless yet concise design, the pot is not only ideal to prepare coffee, but can also be used as a decorative serving jug on the table.
