SIWA – Envelope Case
Designer Natao Fukasawa worked with Onao, who makes traditional washi paper to create the SIWA collection of bags and cases–leveraging Onao’s history and technical skills. His intent is to create designs for the everyday that take advantage of its subtle texture and embrace it as a material that is suited for practical everyday use. Siwa bags are made from an extraordinary tear and water resistant paper called Soft Naori—a paper that is soft and flexible, extremely strong and water-resistant. The paper becomes fabric-like and is soft and tactile to the touch, yet the bags are extremely strong and hardwearing. Color: Kraft
