Red Wing Stoneware Crock
A tradition since the mid-1800’s, Red Wing stoneware is still made along the banks of the Mississippi River in Minnesota. Handmade, sturdy, and functional, the stoneware has a characteristic soft grey color and clear salt glaze, created by introducing rock salt into the hot kiln during the firing process. The red wing logo is essentially unchanged over 150 years. Originally used primarily for pickling and storing foods, this one gallon crock will hold a cook’s “Batterie de Cuisine”, keeping all the most important kitchen utensils at close hand. Dishwasher safe.
