Nine rods stuck in an oak plank: an object which could be qualified as minimalist but which reveals itself surprisingly considerate. The cut which surreptitiously runs on the back of the board invites you to slide in your mail before hanging your coat. Through its asymetrical composition this cloakroom reduced to the essential imposes its own personality. Initially a purely material presence, the plank gets gradually animated by the rhythmic sequence of rods to become the archetype of a coathanger.
