The Pink Terracotta Vase is hand-thrown on the wheel by potter Peter Sheldon and made of terracotta clay brushed with custom porcelain slip. The high iron content in terracotta gives the clay a rich orange/pink hue when fired, and the layering of slip brushed on terracotta creates an antiqued, milky surface.
Slight variations occur in hand-thrown pottery, making every piece unique. A stamped number on the bottom indicates the type of clay used.
