Peugeot Paris u’Select Red Lacquer Pepper Mill 18cm/7 – PM23584 As leaders in their industry, Peugeot has never been matched in design or quality. Peugeot has been producing salt and pepper mills since 1842. For pepper mills, hardened steel is preferred over stainless. Peugeot uses two size grooves, called Channeling and Grinding. The Channeling grooves, larger grooves are designed to line up the peppercorns to crack them. While the Grinding grooves, smaller grooves do the actual fine grinding. If it is a Paris u8217Select mill that you are considering, the grind is adjusted by turning the ring at the bottom. Once the grind size is set, it will stay in place until the user changes it. Mills are made using a high quality beech wood, grown in France. For Pepper use only, salt is never to be placed in pepper mills. Salt is highly corrosive and can easily corrode the steel mechanisms. Matching salt grinder versions available also. Patented system that enables precise grind adjustment settings. 6 pre-defined levels of grind for pepper.
