Product Information
Ambient and warm light. The Parliament Floor Lamp from Nemo features a beautiful form that was designed by Le Corbusier for India’s Chandigarh Parliament in 1963. Le Corbusier stresses functional design solutions, and he looked to primary shapes for this construction, and this floor lamp adorns this space with a slim and solid design. Painted metal cones—which Le Corbusier has described as the “most beautiful forms”—create a fluid silhouette with a dual-lighting setup. Founded in 1993 by Franco Cassina and Carlo Forcolini in Italy, Nemo was established to recreate the lighting pieces that best represented the “Golden Age” of Italian lighting design of the 1960s and 70s. Nemo acquired ItalianaLuce five years later, offering a line of clean, relaxed modern lighting that provided an informal counterpoint to the vintage mid-century authenticity found in Nemos modernist line of Franco Albini-designed lighting.
