Description from Ylighting
Design by Tom Dixon, 2009.
Released at the London Design Festival in 2009, the Tom Dixon’s Offcut Stool transforms remnants of wood into stylish, useful seating. The stool’s elementary form is the result of several innonaturvations: the circular round seat makes clever use of curved offcuts (the wood closest to the bark that is removed when timber is sawn and planed for use); its construction requires no additional screws or glue; and the stool is delivered disassembled in a ‘pizza style’ box for ease of delivery. The Offcut Stool Black is lacquered in Tom Dixon’s signature black.
