LARGE NATURAL TURKISH TERRACOTTA OLIVE OIL JAR (circa 1920’s)

Crafted from terracotta, these jars come in a range of sizes, with varied glazes and design details, but each with a unique story to tell. Their metal wire collar is used for export purposes and verifies their age and authenticity.

Condition Notes: A natural terra cotta finish with two bands and a tapered base, this Turkish jar was originally used to store olive oil. Please note has a surface chip near bottom. Wear is commensurate with age and use and adds to the overall character of the piece. See all photos for details.
