Description from Huset
Atle Tveit and Lars Torní¸e design furniture and utilitarian objects, some of which can be found in the residence of the Norwegian Prime Minister. Both designers received their Master’s degree in furniture and spatial design from the Bergen National Academy of the Arts, and one of their first projects – the Coatrack Dots (2007) – earned them Norway’s Young Talent Award in 2007. Working from their studio in Norway, Tveit and Torní¸e are guided by one single belief: that the only products that should exist are those that have unique properties. They are passionate about separating the necessary from the unnecessary, and in the case of their Coatrack Dots, they have distilled the common coatrack to its most basic elements, namely the hooks. Arrange the Dots however you like, and “being a very social set of hooks,” say the designers, “the Dots love to welcome other Dots to join them on the wall.” The round edges will treat your clothes with the greatest care, and “the only thing the Dots demand from you is that you uncover them every now and then to admire their shape and material.”
Choose between small, medium or large dots and then decide your color: green, purple or white.
The small measures: 3.5″” , the medium 5″” and the large 6.75″” diameter.
Each coatrack dot is sold individually.
