Hand-woven in Northern Ireland, on traditional looms, the Mourne Check coasters are created using custom dyed yarns to perfectly match their heritage colour palette.

Nestled at the foot of the idyllic Mourne Mountains in Northern Ireland, Mourne Textiles is a third generation run workshop and design studio originally set up by the legendary Gerd Hay-Edie in 1954, whose many achievements include the Advisor to the Norwegian Home Industries, producing the very first double-weave furniture fabrics used by Gordon Russell, & a long-standing relationship with designer Robin Day and Hille & Co, who represented her work in London.  Today, Gerd’s daughter and Master Weaver Karen Hay-Edie & grandson Mario are breathing new life into Gerd’s extensive legacy with their collection of woven rugs, throws, cushions, placemats and coasters.
