These blankets, known as batania, are woven exclusively for l’aviva home by an elderly man and his sons working from a tiny weaving studio hidden down narrow pathways on the outskirts of the marrakesh medina. Trimmed with dramatically oversized pom poms and woven from 100% hand spun wool, the heirloom textiles are a stylized rendition of the traditional blankets used to protect against freezing temperatures in the high atlas mountains. 78″ x 90″ (twin/full/queen).
