The Morandi Collection is made of a creamy stoneware clay which features a light dusting of iron flecks. The clay is liquefied and poured into molds then bisque-fired before glazing and final firing. The natural variations in the mineral content of the clay yield unique, swirling patterns and colors within the exposed, unglazed portions of the vessels during the firing process. These variations are representative of the natural process and are not considered flaws. For added visual interest and contrast, the exterior is left partially unglazed, the interior is fully glazed and watertight. The Morandi Tall Narrow Vase is the perfect container for 3-5 blooms and is also beautiful empty.
