Description from RUBY + GEORGE
Mexican Wool Hand Woven Rug- Black, Red, White and Grey
Striking Saltillo, Mexico handmade wool rug. Similar to Navajo weaving, but different in the loom that is used and the finishing of the ends. You will see an almost corrugated look to the end where the base threads are wrapped back around into the rug.
Executed in hand dyed and carded wool using natural black, grey, white, and aniline red. Stepped pyramid borders, with abstract water bug central figure.
Great as a hall runner with a durable weave, this rug is in excellent condition with no color run, holes, and it retains all four corner tassels.
