The archetypal chamber candlestick and candelabra undergo an elegantly brutalist update by way of scale and materials. The aptly named Weight Here is a pun, of course. These objects are hefty. They are crafted of Polystone, a cold-cast compound of mostly polyurethane resin with powdered stone, giving them an added weight, durability and smooth stone-like feel. Cast iron rims and loop are a nod to historic blacksmithing. Combined with the brawny form, it all makes for a potent, unvarnished impression.
Designed by Danish studio KiBiSi, a collaborative hailing from Kilo Design, Big architects and Skibsted Ideation. Produced by Denmark’s Menu.
